Ok, so I am a fan of Gossip Girl. I’m not usually a fan of teen drama shows, but Gossip Girl has awesome fashion and it’s based in NYC. And well, in my opinion, it’s just better than those other shows. The second season has ended for the summer, and I need my fix.
I’ve decided to do a weekly series of posts with (affordable) outfits inspired by the characters of GG, maybe even some of the guys.
First up, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester)
Blair’s style is prim and proper. It’s preppy at times, mostly in episodes that take place at school, but her clothes are always fashion forward. Pencil skirts, flowy shirts, plaid, tights, and of course headbands are Blair’s wardrobe staples.
I think this first look would be great with the skirt worn high waisted like in the photo, up to the elastic waist of the shirt.

It’s hard to see in the photo but the details of the dress are black, so I tried to play with black, white and navy. It seemed very Blair to me to try mixing different colors but in a matchy way.
