The Uniform Project is probably the best example of wearing versatile wardrobe pieces. I’ve been checking it out from the start, and I don’t know why I haven’t written about it until now! Sheena Matheiken started the site back in May, and since then she’s been wearing the same dress in so many different ways. Her plan is to wear the same dress in as many ways as possible every day, for a year. She has a very quirky and artsy sense of style and it really makes for some interesting outfits. She has the most outrageous accessories, some of which are donated by fans of the blog, and I think it’s not only interesting, but great because it’s for a good cause. The whole project is to raise money for education in India, and so far she’s raised over $7000.
I think having pieces in your wardrobe that can be worn in so many different ways is a necessity, especially for budget shoppers. It’s all about what you pair it with and how you accessorize it. With the right accessories and perfect pairings, you could wear the same dress every day if you wanted to, and never look boring.
