NYFW: Betsey Johnson

So I tend to fall in and out of love with Betsey Johnson. She’s been a name in the fashion world for ages, and you’ve got to give it to her for being so outrageous. Her Fall 2010 collection happens to be one that I love.

It’s got this wild west whimsy about it. There are tons of well-layered pieces in an array of gorgeous colors.

Though it does all seem rather sporadic, but that is how Betsey rolls.

I loved seeing Kelly Osbourne walking for Betsey Johnson. I think she’s the perfect person to show of Betsey’s quirky fashions. Sexy ‘stasche!

The colors of the collection flowed beautifully from reds and greens, to browns, to purple, then black and white, to pink, more purple, then black and then ending finally with:

The wonderful Alexander McQueen tribute.

Remember those lips?

NYFW: Temperley London Fall 2010 RTW

There is leather, leather and more fabulous leather at Temperley London. I love it!

The colors are just as intriguing, yellow, purple, grey, white and tons of black.

The shoulder pads, chains, and tailoring are some of the many things that make this collection one of my favorites.

I want this dress in my closet……right now.

This makes me like ruffles.

All in all, I love the British Punk inspired collection. And how perfect was Kinée Diouf?

NYFW: Rad Hourani Fall 2010 RTW

This is how I want to dress next Fall. Frick, this is how I want to dress every day no matter the weather.

Hourani’s zipper-filled, immaculately layered, unisex line has been one of my favorites so far.

I’m not usually a huge follower of menswear, but in this case, I really don’t have a choice. And I’m okay with that.

Notice the same jacket is throughout the collection, just worn different many ways. It really shows his versatility and unique approach to design. I really hope he hits it big.

NYFW: Rodarte Fall 2010 RTW

A rose by any other name…..still does not make me a fan.

Okay now Rodarte is one of my faves and I always look forward to seeing what the Mulleavy sisters have come up with but…..I’m not the biggest fan of florals. There are roses thrown all over their Fall 2010 RTW collection and I’m having the hardest time saying I don’t like florals because I’m such a Rodarte fangirl. But I must…I HATE FLORAL PATTERNS.

Oh that hurt.

But that is (thankfully) not all the collection had to offer. It was inspired by their Mexican roots, and that shows in the fringed, draped, and layered pieces. It’s also quite….white….for Rodarte. Am I right? There are dark hints throughout the collection instead of the other way around. We’d usually catch a glint of silver, or a streak of white. Now it’s nearly blinding. I’m not complaining, it’s quite bold for Fall. I like bold.

The eagle seems kind of Native American inspired….no?

Do you know what else I like? The gorgeous Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.

The makeup was also quite fabulous. Pale faces, shiny smokey eyes, slicked back hair, and nude lips were keeping with the beauty trends seen all over Fashion Week.

classic Rodarte

See? The roses didn’t ruin it for me after all…
